Azerbaijan sends COVAX vaccines to Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan received a batch of AstraZeneca vaccines from Azerbaijan, the UNICEF office in Tashkent reports.
“As a partner of the COVAX global initiative, UNICEF announced the transfer of 50,000 doses of vaccines from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, which were delivered to Tashkent with the assistance of the Embassy of Azerbaijan,” the report says.
“Without fair and equal access to vaccine supplies, the world will continue to be at risk of deadly COVID 19 virus mutations,” UNICEF concludes.
