The conversation was full of useful recommendations for young people who see others as their competitors, about the advantages of studying abroad, and the difficulties of living independently. In addition, the topics raised during the conversation can interest parents as well as young people.

Beginning of my career

After graduating from Cambridge University in America, I worked there for a year. I returned to Uzbekistan in 2008 and got married. First, I started working in an audit company I wanted. This company was among the 4 best companies in the world. In 2013, I launched a project to introduce international standards into the banking system. It was a $500,000 project. I took a year off from my company to deal with this task. In 2014, I founded my own company – Edu-Action.

Establishment of Cambridge International University

When our students started getting low IELTS scores, I looked for the cause of the problem. I realized that training teachers is more important. We talked to the University of Cambridge and adopted their teaching methods. I have many licenses in education. But I cannot use them all at once. All Cambridge University books are licensed. When we started educating the youth, the pandemic spread. Opportunities to study abroad were missed. Our students started asking me questions about what to do now, whether they can go abroad. I said that if they really want to study, the university itself will find them. Then we introduced Pearson’s BTech project. 200 children joined it. After they studied for 1 year, most of the students said that they should continue their studies in Uzbekistan. Based on this, I received a license from Cambridge International University, which was one of my priority goals.

Cambridge University mission

I had a hard time setting a mission for Cambridge University. My parents told me that I am their hope, I am the hope of the nation. The words “hope of the nation” had a great impact on me. My goals by establishing a university are educating our youth, increasing the number of generous people, raising donations and zakat. Let every student studying at Cambridge International University be the hope of their parents and the nation. We want young people to broaden their knowledge. This is our ultimate goal. By opening a university, we set the goal of “raising knowledgeable and generous people – futures of the nation”.

I want to see youngsters who study at Cambridge International University with the feeling that they are the nation’s hope. I want them to take our future, the people of Uzbekistan, our nation to high horizons.

My opinion on luck

When I was young, when I was applying to the university or attending science Olympiads, I used to ask my grandfathers to pray for me and wish me good luck. At that time, I believed in luck a lot. After I went to the USA, my opinion changed completely. If there is a vacancy, and two compete for it, only one can succeed in it. I changed my thinking about luck – one who is eligible should be qualified. The slogan “first make an effort, then take a risk” was a big motivation for me. No one can predict when luck will come. Our young people, who rely on luck at the beginning, make the biggest mistake. If you are prepared beforehand, it will be easy because you will know what exactly will come in the exam. If you have no proper knowledge, then it will be difficult to move forward. Therefore, young people should do their best first, then, maybe, rely on luck.

The biggest thing that young people are missing today

The biggest thing that our young people are losing is comparing themselves to their peers, comparing themselves with their school level. We all have experienced this. Your competitor is not in your neighborhood or in your school, he is now preparing to enter MIT in China, Singapore and India. I never want young people to compare themselves with others in the neighborhood and say that they are the best. This has been my biggest mistake and I hope that this mistake will not be repeated by others. I would want our youth to be the hope of the nation.

My conclusions in life

People learn a lot as they age. I gradually learned that it is important for a person to live not only for himself, but also for the sake of his children. I used to take too many risks. Now I have come to the conclusion that it is important to live not only for my parents, but for my children as well, children should grow up with their parents. Man does not know what his destiny is and how long he lives. Therefore, I have learned that it is always important to take care of one’s health, to keep his intellect at a high level. Also, I have drawn the conclusion that a man should take the responsibility of educating his children.
