Defense Ministry begin inspection of combat readiness of military units
The military districts of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan began planned practical exercises on bringing troops on alert.

As the press service of the Defense Ministry reports, unscheduled inspections in the Tashkent and Southwest special military districts and also in military units of air defense and the Air Force (AF) are conducted under the leadership of the minister.
It also reported that battalion-tactical exercises will be held on the territory of the Angren and Termez combined arms training grounds to exchange experience and coordinate the actions of military units and joint forces of the Tashkent and South-Western commands.
“During tactical exercises, when sending the Alarm signal, the actions of the personnel, the possibility of strengthening protection, the ability to fulfill the assigned combat training tasks are checked,” the press service said.
In addition, the soldiers will have to determine the probable location of the conditional enemy. After that, the forces and equipment of aviation and artillery units and a battery of mortars will strike at the areas where they are located in order to prevent any possible active actions.
Earlier it was reported that on June 23, 53 servicemen of the Afghan border troops and fighters of the local militia with weapons crossed into the territory of Uzbekistan in the district of Shortepa County.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that any attempts to illegally cross into Uzbek territory will be severely suppressed, and the most stringent measures will be taken against violators.
