Press secretary of the Ministry of Public Education Laylo Rustamova told about this during a briefing at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications.

“Admission to schools in Tashkent, Karakalpakstan and regional centers will be carried out as an experiment in electronic form. The process will take place in two stages. At the first stage, parents will register from June 15 to July 5 on the electronic resource my.maktab.uz and choose schools for children to join the first grade,” she said.

Parents will be able to choose from three schools. The first will be a school that is located in the area of permanent residence of parents, the second and third schools will be schools that are convenient for visiting at the request of parents.

At the second stage (from July 6 to July 31), parents will be able to submit documents to the school at the registered address, where the submission of documents will be carried out as usual. In this case, parents are guaranteed the enrollment of their children in the first grade.

“If the parents have chosen a school that is not located at the place of residence, then applications will be accepted from August 1-15, this will be subject to availability of seats at the time of electronic registration. In other regions, admission to the first grade of general education schools is carried out in the traditional form – directly in schools,” she said.

In regions where admission to schools is carried out in a traditional way, parents will be able to apply for enrollment in the first grade from June 15 to July 15. This will be a school assigned to the place of residence.

In addition, from July 16 to August 15, parents will be given the opportunity to apply to other schools (not located at their place of residence) to enroll their children in the first grade, which is subject to the availability of seats in them.
