Universities specialized in teaching foreign languages to double admission quota
Universities specialized in teaching foreign languages will double the admission quota in the 2021/22 academic year. Also, state grants waiving tuition fees will be tripled.

This is established by a presidential decree to popularize studying foreign languages.
On the basis of the decree, from the 2022/23 academic year, graduates of universities specializing in teaching foreign languages, in addition to state certification exams, will also take an exam in national or equivalent international leading assessment systems.
The expenses of graduates for passing the exam will be covered by the universities.
From the 2022/23 academic year, a procedure will be introduced according to which persons who have a national or international certificate of the corresponding level will participate in the selection exams in the specialties of magistracy and postgraduate education of universities.
At the same time, in the areas of philology, a national or international certificate of the corresponding level not lower than C1 will be required, and in non-philological areas – a national or international certificate of the corresponding level not lower than B2.
