Uzbekistan’s FTT down by 3.5%
In January-April this year, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover decreased by 3.5%. In particular, during the reporting period, the volume of exports decreased by 19.1%, while imports increased by 7%.

In the first four months of 2021, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to $10.3 billion, which is $378.8 million (3.5%) less than in the corresponding period of 2020.
Exports were recorded at $3.48 billion (down by 19.1%) and imports – $6.84 billion (up by 7%). During the reporting period, a passive foreign trade balance of $3.35 billion was observed.
China has remained the leading trade partner of Uzbekistan (20.5%), followed by Russia (17.8%), Kazakhstan (11.8%), Turkey (9.3%), South Korea (4.8%), Kyrgyzstan (2.4%) and Afghanistan (2.3%).
Among the 20 large partners in foreign economic activity, there was an active foreign trade balance with only six countries, in particular, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Canada and Iran.
39.3% of FTTs accounted for the CIS countries, up by 4.9% compared to the same period last year.
