On May 16, 223 more people tested positive for coronavirus in Uzbekistan, bringing the number of total recorded cases to 96,893.
“107 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 13 – in Karakalpakstan, 6 – in Andijan, 3 – in Bukhara, 2 – in Jizzakh, 3 – in Kashkadarya, 2 – in Navoi, 8 – in Namangan, 23 – in Samarkand, 6 – in Syrdarya, 1 – in Surkhandarya, 5 – in Fergana, 2 – in Khorezm and 42 – in Tashkent region,” the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Also, two patients died yesterday. The death toll reached 670.
So far 92,303 people have recovered from the disease in the country. Currently, 3,920 patients are being treated in hospitals.
