President Mirziyoyev pardons 100 convicts on eve of Eid al-Fitr
On the eve of Eid al-Fitr, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on pardoning 100 convicts who sincerely repented of their deeds and firmly embarked on the path of correction.

Of those pardoned, 3 were fully relieved from serving the sentence, 43 were released on parole, 10 of them got a milder sentence and the sentence of 44 convicts was reduced.
Among the pardoned, 12 are foreign nationals, 4 are men over 60 years of age and 6 – are women. 52 of them were convicted for participating in the activities of banned organizations.
The responsible ministries and agencies have been instructed to help the pardoned reintegrate into society, help them engage in social services, promote healthy lifestyles and gain a worthy place in the community they live.
