Joint trade union of STC withdraws the lawsuit against Rasul Kusherbayev

The joint union of employees of the State Tax Committee and its constituent divisions withdrew the lawsuit against the deputy of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Rasul Kusherbayev.
According to the press service of the State Tax Committee, today, May 11, employees of the STC joint trade union met with MP Rasul Kusherbayev.
“The parties discussed the recent conflict. At the meeting, the sides noted that the common goal of both sides is to contribute to the development of Uzbekistan and the well-being of the people,” the statement said.
As a result, it was decided to close the case before it is transferred to court.
Earlier it was reported that the joint union of employees of the STC and its constituent units filed a lawsuit against the deputy of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis Rasul Kusherbayev in the Shaykhontokhur inter-district civil court.
The reason for this was the rude words Kusherbayev used against STC employees in one of the episodes of the program “Let bloggers speak” on the Human.uz information portal on February 23, 2021.
Then the press service of the STC noted that the committee is not against freedom of speech, “on the contrary, it is one of the state organizations that pay special attention to openness and transparency. This is constantly confirmed by the results of various ratings and surveys conducted among the population and business representatives.”
“However, it should not be forgotten that any groundless accusations and libel should have consequences in the prescribed manner based on the legislation,” the report said.
