French company to assist Uzbekistan in transition to green energy

The Energy Ministry of Uzbekistan and Assystem Engineering and Operation Services (France) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on studying the implementation of joint projects and the potential for expanding strategic partnership in the territory of the Central Asian republic.
The cooperation of the parties includes the following areas:
- project management, engineering design and consulting on renewable energy sources, including solar, wind and hydrogen;
- support for the development of energy storage systems.
The collaboration is aimed at supporting the energy sector of Uzbekistan in new areas of energy use and the transition to decarbonization.
