Chairman of the human rights society “Ezgulik” Abdurahmon Tashanov, as part of the commission under the Oliy Majlis commissioner for human rights, visited and monitored colony No. 22.

On his Facebook page, Tashanov reported about the living and working conditions of former Prosecutor-General Rashid Kadyrov and former head of the SSS Ikhtiyor Abdullayev, who are serving their sentences in the prison.

“We talked with Rashid Kadyrov. I asked him about the conditions in the colony and he had no complaints. He will be transferred to a settlement colony within a month. He noted that he did not send any complaints about torture to the UN,” the human rights activist said.

Abdurahmon Tashanov witnessed that Rashid Kadyrov works in the sewing shop and sews dresses and pants.

The former head of the SSS Ikhtiyor Abdullayev, meanwhile, paints dishes.

“According to the documents, under articles 242 and 301 of the Criminal Code, he was sentenced to 16 years in prison. I read his medical record: tested twice for coronavirus, no complaints,” said Abdurahmon Tashanov.

The human rights activist told Ikhtiyor Abdullayev that his father and son complained several times to the President that he was tortured and kept in isolation.

Ikhtiyor Abdullayev, however, noted that “everything was fine and if these words reach the President, then there will be justice.”

“Both former officials talked very carefully,” concluded the chairman of the “Ezgulik” human rights society.
