Central Bank announces deadline for exchange of old banknotes
Old-style coins and banknotes with a face value of 50, 100, 200 and 500 soums can be exchanged for banknotes in circulation until January 1, 2022, the Central Bank said.

It should be recalled that from July 1, 2020, banknotes in denominations of 200 and 500 soums have lost their face value, instead of them coins with a denomination of 200 and 500 soums are regularly issued into circulation.
The deadline for exchanging old-style banknotes and coins with denominations of 50, 100, 200 and 500 soums was established by the decision of the CB Board on January 9, 2021.
