Uzbekistan, Serbia eye to strengthen trade relations, hold joint economic and investment events
On April 6, 2021, the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia with residence in Moscow, Miroslav Lazanski.

Accepting his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high and responsible post and wished him success.
During the conversation, the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for the further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia were discussed. Special attention was paid to the issues of interaction within international organizations, primarily within the UN and OSCE.
The importance of enhancing economic diplomacy between Uzbekistan and Serbia, establishing direct contacts between the business circles of the parties, holding joint economic and investment events was noted.
The parties spoke in favor of developing ties in the cultural-humanitarian sphere, in particular, establishing interaction in the field of education, healthcare and tourism.
