Uzbekistan plans to issue special “green” license plates for electric vehicles
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has developed a draft decree of the Cabinet of Ministers on issuing special number plates for electric vehicles.

The document says that all cars with a power of 4 kW and above, which accelerate to +40 km/h, will receive special number plates. The part of the license plate where the territory code is indicated will be painted green.
It is planned that license plates for electric vehicles will begin to be issued from June 1, 2021. Until June 1, the numbers of already registered electric vehicles will be replaced for free with new ones.
In addition, in the future, electric cars may gain an advantage when entering the central parts of cities.
