In January-February 2021 alone, the import of electric vehicles surpassed the indicators of 2018-2019.
The import of electric vehicles in 2021 has grown sharply, Spot writes with reference to the State Statistics Committee.
In January-February, 85 electric vehicles were imported to Uzbekistan, which is more by 78 than in the same period of 2020. For comparison, 13 electric vehicles were imported into the country in 2018, 39 – in 2019, and 131 – in 2020.
It should be noted that there are tax privileges when importing electric vehicles to Uzbekistan – one does not have to pay customs duties and excise taxes. It is enough to pay VAT and vehicle tax. These two will also be canceled soon.
