“Electricity tariffs will not increase in 2021” – Ulugbek Mustafoyev

On March 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of investment projects to be implemented this year in the field of electricity supply to the population.
Following the event, the chairman of Regional Electric Networks JSC Ulugbek Mustafoyev told reporters that electricity prices will remain unchanged this year.
“Large-scale work is planned to modernize low-voltage electrical networks. In particular, it is planned to update 15 thousand kilometers of power transmission lines and 4 thousand transformers. As a result, the power supply in 5,337 mahallas across Uzbekistan will improve.
The President gave us instructions not to increase tariffs in 2021, we need to reduce the costs instead,” Ulugbek Mustafoyev said.
