US President Joe Biden congratulates Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan on Nawruz

US President Joe Biden has congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan on Nawruz.
“I want to wish you and the people of Uzbekistan a peaceful, happy and prosperous Nawruz. As we are working together to support the peace process that will end the war in Afghanistan and provide a diplomatic solution to the issue, Nawruz once again reminds us of the critical importance of peace,” Biden said.
He stressed that this year marks the 30th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence.
“You have made significant reforms in recent years, and my administration looks forward to working with your country to continue this progress. We also look forward to continuing interaction within the framework of the C5+1 dialogue launched under the leadership of State Secretary John Kerry five years ago,” the US President said.
Joe Biden said that he “conveys his best wishes to the President and the people of Uzbekistan a peaceful, joyous, and prosperous year.”
“Happy Nawruz!” concluded Joe Biden.
