Shavkat Mirziyoyev reprimands officials in Namangan for shortcomings after meeting with local residents
As part of his visit to Namangan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev dropped by one of the neighborhoods to talk with the people. During the unscheduled meeting, one of the elderly residents of the area complained about the natural gas shortage, problems with drinking water and the absence of production facilities. He also said that “roads are in need of repair.”

Shavkat Mirziyoyev reprimanded the khokim, the head of the sector, the prosecutor and the chairman of the mahalla: “You are all very experienced in exaggerating when it comes to reporting about positive changes you have contributed to. Have you not honor to still hold the office after seeing all these problems? 12,000 people live in this neighborhood. Look at the situation, this shows your work.”
“I came here to solve these problems,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
