Jartepa checkpoint on border with Tajikistan opens for students
The Customs Department of Samarkand region reports that from February 17, students can cross the border between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan via the Jartepa checkpoint.

To note, from the beginning of 2021, only trucks engaged in international freight traffic were allowed to pass through the post.
Previously, students could only move through “Sariasia”, “Oybek” and “Sarbanda” checkpoints.
The Jartepa checkpoint, which is located in Urgut district of Samarkand region, resumed work at the beginning of January, after being closed for 9 months due to the pandemic.
