We need to apprise our foreign partners of our plans – we will suspend all external projects on the roads for two years, focus all efforts on domestic roads. The situation in the field does not satisfy me at all. We need to introduce a system of public-private partnership (PPP) in repairing of roads,” Kun.uz correspondent quoted the President as saying.

The Minister of Energy Alisher Sultanov and the Chairman of the Regional Electric Networks Ulugbek Mustafayev were instructed to conduct an inventory of power lines and transformers in need of repair within two months and approve a program to upgrade them. By the end of the year, 15,000 kilometers of power lines and 4,000 transformers will have to be renewed.

In addition, Ramatov, Makhkamov, Boboyev, Abduvaliyev together with the regional khokims will approve a “targeted program” for the reconstruction of about 5.5 thousand large and small bridges. For this purpose, first of all, a working group headed by Abduvaliyev and Adiz Boboyev should be formed, and within two weeks all bridges should be re-registered.

Ramatov and Khidoyatov together with regional khokims will approve a program to further improve the system of public utilities by March 1 this year. At the same time, it is necessary to repair and replace 2,000 elevators in apartment buildings, renovate 4,500 multi-storey apartments and landscape the area.

Mirziyoyev instructed Ramatov, Zokirov and Khidoyatov together with regional khokims to build at least 21,000 houses in cities and 8,800 in villages this year.
