Uzbekistan to optimize the number of public administration employees
Uzbekistan will optimize the number of public administration employees by an average of 15%, follows from the State Program for 2021.

According to the document, the Ministry of Finance, together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and other interested departments, was instructed to ensure the submission by March 1, 2021, of a draft presidential decree, which provides for the following measures:
- reducing the number of organizations that repeat each other’s functions, eliminating bureaucratic barriers in management, cutting the number of meetings;
- optimizing staff positions vacant for many years;
- revising work processes by transferring some state functions to the private sector, reducing the number of licenses and permits required, automating the process of their issuance;
- simplifying decision-making processes in the activities of ministries and departments;
- optimizing work processes due to the widespread introduction of digital technologies;
- introducing a planning system for the work of ministries in the context of the region, city, village and mahalla;
Within two months, the Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to take specific measures to radically improve the activities of middle and lower-level management bodies.
