During the moratorium, it will be mandatory to plant as compensation 10 large seedlings of equal value for each cut-down tree. The seedlings must be at least 5 years of age and at least 2 meters high. They must be cared for at least two years.
The amount of compensation for each illegally cut tree, however, is 100 seedlings and 3 years of care.
It should be reminded that in October 2019, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree imposing a moratorium from November 1, 2019, to December 31, 2020, on the cutting down of valuable trees and shrubs that are not part of the state forest fund.
