Uzbekistan, South Korea plan to reach bilateral free trade agreement
On January 28, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a videoconference meeting with the President of South Korea Moon Jae-in.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the issues of leveling the imbalance and diversification of the range of export-import operations, interactions of phytosanitary services to expand the supply of agricultural products.
To realize the planned projects, the parties decided to start negotiations to conclude a bilateral free trade agreement.
In 2021, it is expected that investment projects worth about $400 million will be implemented in Uzbekistan with the participation of Korean partners.
