Number of employees in the public administration system to be optimized
Uzbekistan plans to optimize the number of employees in the public administration system, follows from the draft presidential decree.

According to the document, by the end of 2021, the number of civil servants should be optimized on an average of 15%.
In addition, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction, together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice, was instructed to prepare draft regulatory legal acts aimed at reducing the number of departments that repeat each other’s functions. Bureaucratic barriers in management should also be abolished.
