Umarov had been working as Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee (STC) since September 2019. He graduated from the Tashkent State University of Economics in 2001. In 2005-2006, he studied at the Tax Academy and earned his master’s degree.

He has 16 years of experience in the state tax service, from 2006 to 2015, he worked in various structures of the State Tax Committee as a department head.

In 2015-2017, he worked as a department head at the Tax and Customs Tariff Policy Department of the Finance Ministry.

Until September 2019, Fazliddin Umarov worked as the Chief Inspector of the Information and Analysis Department of the Accounts Chamber to identify additional sources of income and cost analysis.
