Regions with highest number of corruption-related crimes announced
In 2020, the highest number of corruption-related crimes was committed in Tashkent, Samarkand, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions, the Anti-Corruption Agency said.

“Tashkent, Samarkand, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions topped the list of provinces with the highest number of corruption-related crimes in 2020. These regions suffered the most damage and more crimes were committed there,” Utkirbek Namozboyev, an official of the Anti-Corruption Agency, said.
It was also noted that the regulation “On the procedure for rewarding those who report corruption offenses or otherwise assist in the fight against corruption” has been approved.
According to this procedure, citizens and civil servants can report to the relevant authorities about corruption offenses that have been committed in any sphere. The amount of monetary reward in the form of incentives is determined based on the social risk of the corruption offense.
According to preliminary analysis, the implementation of the resolution will require an average of 300-500 million soums annually from the state budget of Uzbekistan.
