“Over 1.5 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2020” – Aziz Abdukhakimov
In 2020, 1 million 504 thousand tourists visited the country, Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov said at a briefing.

“As a result of the global crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, tourism in our country has become one of the most severely damaged areas.
In 2020, a total of 1 million 504 thousand tourists visited Uzbekistan, we provided tourism services worth $261 million.
In 2021, we want to pay more attention to pilgrimage tourism,” Abdukhakimov said.
According to him, Uzbekistan plans to attract 1.7 million foreign tourists in the current year.
