Russian Railways introduces 50% discount on transportation of fruit and vegetable products from Uzbekistan

JSC Russian Railways has made a decision to reduce the level of tariffs for freight transportation. As the press service of the company reported, the reduction of tariffs is related to the transportation of ferrous metals, containers, contrailers as well as fruits and vegetables.
In particular, from January 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021, the following discounts will apply:
- 50% – for the export transportation of ferrous metals and grain cargo through the Russian-Azerbaijani border with further proceeding to Georgia through the Beyuk-Kyasik-Gardabani border crossing;
- 50% – for import transportation of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to Russia in refrigerated rolling stock belonging to Uzbekistan Railways JSC and State Unitary Enterprise “Rohi Ohani Tojikiston”;
- 14.8% – for the transportation of loaded containers as part of container trains from the stations of the Moscow hub (Khovrino and Elektrougli) to Yekaterinburg (at the stations Yekaterinburg-Tovarny, Yekaterinburg-Sortirovochny and Shartash;
- from 7.7 to 16.2% – for the transportation of loaded containers as part of container trains from the Kuntsevo-II station (Moscow) to the Yekaterinburg-Tovarny station, depending on the train load;
- 48% – for the carriage of goods of the second and third tariff class in refrigerated containers from/to the station of the St. Petersburg railway junction (Avtovo, Dacha Dolgorukova, Zanevsky Post, Kupchinskaya, Ligovo, Novy Port, Predportovaya, St. Petersburg – Baltiysky, St. Petersburg – Finlandsky, Shushary, as well as from/to the station Bronka, Izhora, Luzhskaya, Parnas, Ust-Luga);
- 20.4% – for the export transportation of goods of the second and third tariff class in refrigerated containers in the direction of the Russian-Chinese border transfer station Zabaikalsk, as well as the Russian-Kazakhstan border transfer stations for further proceeding to the Dostyk (Kazakhstan) – Alashankou (China) and Altynkol (Kazakhstan) – Khorgos (China).
