In accordance with the decree, 104 convicts, who have sincerely repented of their deeds and firmly embarked on the path of correction, have been pardoned.
Of those pardoned, 6 persons were fully relieved from serving the sentence, 50 – released on parole, 7 – got a milder sentence. In addition, the terms of imprisonment imposed on 41 persons have been reduced.
Among those pardoned are 13 foreign citizens, 9 men over 60 years of age, 1 woman, 21 persons who participated in the activities of banned organizations.
Responsible ministries and agencies have been instructed to help the pardoned reintegrate into society, help them engage in social services, promote healthy lifestyles and gain a worthy place in the community they live.
