Judges and assistant judges of the Tashkent city administrative court looted 8 billion soums of state funds, Daryo news agency reports with reference to the deputy director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Umida Tukhtasheva.
At a conference in the Supreme Court on November 30, the deputy director of the Agency focused on criminal cases in which judges embezzled public funds.
In particular, Tukhtasheva provided information on the criminal case against several judges and assistant judges of the Tashkent city administrative court.
“Several judges of the court and their assistants have previously conspired with the staff of the Administrative Practice Department under the Tashkent City Traffic Safety Directorate. They issued about 5,000 false decisions without filing administrative cases on traffic violations, not considering them with the participation of the parties. Some administrative cases were deliberately destroyed,” she said.
Reportedly, the Prosecutor General’s Office has opened a criminal case against judges and other employees of the Tashkent city administrative court and is investigating the case.
