The investigation into the criminal case against officials of the “International Job Organization” private employment agency (PEA) has been completed and the case has been transferred to the Shaykhantakhur district court on criminal proceedings.
Company officials have been charged with embezzlement, fraud and other crimes, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
In the criminal case, 2,620 people were identified as victims and the total amount of damage caused to them amounted to 18 billion 484 million soums. Only 591 million soums were reimbursed during the preliminary investigation.
The head of the company – a stateless person born in 1993 in Kyrgyzstan – Sherzod Abdurakhmanov was arrested on June 10 this year as a precautionary measure.
The PEA representatives collected up to 45 million soums from each citizen, promising to send them to work in the Republic of Korea and countries on the European continent.
