Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover down by $4.2 billion

According to the State Statistics Committee, the figure is down by $4.2 billion (12.4%) compared to the same period in 2019.

During the reporting period, exports amounted to $13.3 billion (down by 7.4%) and imports – $16.7 billion (- 16.0%), which resulted in a passive foreign trade balance of $3.4 billion.

Uzbekistan has trade relations with more than 160 countries, the largest share of which falls on China – 17.1%, followed by Russia (15.1%), Kazakhstan (7.7%), the Republic of Korea (5.9%), Turkey (5.5%), Kyrgyzstan (2.4%) and Germany (2.1%).

Of the 20 largest foreign economic partners, positive trade balance has been preserved only with 4 – Afghanistan ($607.7 million), Kyrgyzstan ($508.4 million), Tajikistan ($242.3 million) and Iran ($40.9 million).
