Ministry of Culture denies rumors about construction of a residential complex instead of the Gafur Gulam Recreation Park
The Ministry of Culture commented on reports circulated on social networks that a residential complex would be built in the area where the recreation park named after Gafur Gulam is located.

“This information is unfounded. The work process has really begun in the park. However, there is no plan to construct residential complex facilities here. Some old buildings are being demolished in the park,” the statement reads.
The department notes that all entrepreneurs were warned about the removal of technically outdated attractions from the park and “they did not object to this requirement”.
As a reminder, the park named after Gafur Gulam was leased for 49 years to BMP Smart Decision Private Limited, a foreign investment company.
