Uzbekistan, Afghanistan plan to resume air communications starting January 2021
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed the decree “On measures to further expand and strengthen economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan”.

According to the document, in November this year, Uzbekistan Airways and Uzbekistan Airports are to negotiate with Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air.
In addition, in December, the parties will sign a bilateral agreement on the resumption of flights, and from January 2021, direct flights should be resumed.
It should be reminded that Uzbekistan suspended flights with Afghanistan in March.
