Mirziyoyev signs decree on establishment of a new district khokimiyat in Tashkent
On November 11, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the establishment of the Yangihayat district khokimiyat.

Earlier, on May 29, the President visited the Sergeli district to familiarize himself with the living conditions of the population and the work on improving them.
During his visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to create a new micro-district with direct subordination to the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent.
In September 2020, the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis adopted a decision on the formation of the Yangihayat district by allotting land areas from Sergeli and Bektemir districts as well as four districts of the Tashkent region.
The area of the new district is 4,419.6 hectares.
