Indian Ambassador Manish Prabhat, who presented credentials to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 16, complained that he spent the whole day to reach to Tashkent due to flight cancellations.
“Unfortunately, due to the pandemic direct flights between Delhi and Tashkent were canceled. So instead of usual two and a half hours of normal flight, I spent a whole day on the way, getting from Delhi to Tashkent via Frankfurt-on-Main and arrived in the country on September 24,” he said in an interview with the Dunyo IA.
At the same time, the diplomat noted that he was “surprised how effectively Uzbekistan deals with the challenges of the pandemic.”
“The number of cases remains under control, and the health authorities are very good at dealing with the tasks assigned to them,” said the Ambassador.
