Uzbekistan voices readiness to support Kyrgyzstan in carrying out reforms
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov voiced the readiness of the Uzbek side to support Kyrgyzstan in carrying out the upcoming reforms. He stated this in Tashkent at a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbayev.

“Abdulla Aripov voiced the readiness of the Uzbek side to provide support to Kyrgyzstan in carrying out the upcoming reforms, present financial, technical and food assistance for the development of the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, including in the fight against COVID-19,” the MFA of Kyrgyzstan said in a statement.
In addition, the Uzbek side expressed its readiness to build a medical and health institution in Kyrgyzstan. Aripov also noted the importance of implementing the agreement between the governments of the two countries on financial cooperation.
Kazakbayev informed the Prime Minister about the internal political situation in the Kyrgyz Republic and assured that the Kyrgyz side remains fully committed to all its international obligations and strict implementation of previously signed international treaties.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the whole range of Uzbek-Kyrgyz mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, water management and energy spheres, as well as in the field of transport. Particular attention was paid to the issue of joint fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
