Senators discuss introducing amendments and additions to the Administrative Responsibility Code
The Senate Committee on Judicial-Legal Issues and Anti-Corruption held a meeting via videoconference.

The Committee discussed the law āOn Amendments and Additions to the Administrative Responsibility Code of Uzbekistanā.
The amendments introduced by the law provided for the transfer of the power to impose administrative penalties for violating the sanitary rules to the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service and the internal affairs agencies.
It is also envisaged that officers of the internal affairs bodies and road police officers will be given the power to impose administrative penalties for such administrative offenses as throwing garbage or other objects from vehicles.
The Code also introduces the procedure for detaining vehicles in case of violation of the mandatory rules established to combat the pandemic.
The Interior Ministry has previously stated that it is legal to take a car to the impound lot in case of violation of quarantine rules. A number of members of the Legislative Chamber argued that the measure is illegal. For example, Rasul Kusherbayev posted his thoughts that this practice is unlawful. Another deputy, Doniyor Ganiyev, supported his colleague stating that taking vehicles until the end of the quarantine is against the law.
