Murat Kamalov becomes a senator
In Nukus, a joint meeting of the Jokargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan, district and city councils of people’s deputies was held to elect members of the Senate of Uzbekistan to vacant seats, UzA reported.
According to the election results, deputy of the Jokargy Kenes, chairman of the Karakalpak Federation of Trade Unions U. Jalmenov and chairman of the Jokargy Kenes Murat Kamalov were elected members of the Senate.
It should be recalled that Murat Kamalov became the leader of Karakalpakstan on October 2. Former head Musa Erniyazov died on July 31 from complications of the coronavirus infection.
