This global initiative is aimed at working with vaccine manufacturers to provide countries worldwide equitable access to safe and effective vaccines, once they are licensed and approved.
“Representatives of the WHO Regional Office for Europe Oleg Storozhenko and Tania Schmid are currently in our country and take a direct part in the treatment of patients with coronavirus,” the statement of the Ministry reads.
It was previously reported that 172 countries are now engaged in discussions to potentially participate in COVAX.
