More than 4.5 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan passed through Kazakhstan’s transit corridor

Kazakhstan has provided a transit corridor for citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, who have gathered on the Russian-Kazakh border, Informburo.kz reports with reference to the MFA of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“This issue has been resolved positively. On August 4 and 5, 2,435 citizens of Kyrgyzstan left for their country through the territory of Kazakhstan on more than 40 buses, the transit of 2.2 thousand Uzbek citizens was organized by railway transportation, arranged by the Uzbek side,” the ministry said.
Thousands of citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are stranded on the Russian-Kazakh border in the Samara Oblast. As a result of the congestion, migrants clashed with law enforcement officers.
