According to the information agency Dunyo, the diplomats got acquainted with the activities and living conditions of more than 700 Uzbek citizens working here.
“The diplomats got acquainted with the working and living conditions, places of public catering, health protection measures during the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the timely payment of wages and other issues related to the legal rights and interests of citizens of Uzbekistan,” the statement said.
In addition, there was a friendly conversation on various issues. Workers were also informed about charter flights organized for compatriots wishing to return home.
The conversation also discussed in detail the disorders that took place in the “Renaissance Heavy Industries” company in Amur Oblast and other regions of Russia with the participation of foreign workers, including Uzbek citizens, as well as the criminal charges filed against them.
In this context, the representatives of the Consulate advised our compatriots not to engage in such conflicts and to preserve inter-ethnic harmony and religious tolerance, not to join various movements and organizations that propagate religious extremism and fanaticism.
Representatives of the Consulate General and others who spoke at the meetings called on fellow citizens to respect and observe the migration and other laws of the Russian Federation, to honor local customs and traditions, and contribute to the promotion of the rich culture of the Uzbek people.
In addition, answers were given to questions of a consular and legal nature that were of interest to compatriots, and the phone numbers of the Consulate General were provided to maintain constant contact with those working at this construction site.
