According to Khabibullo Okilov, when coronavirus patients with mild forms of the disease were allowed to be treated at home, a certain part of the beds became empty and the chances of receiving patients increased.
At present, a database of medical institutions for the treatment and diagnosis of moderately ill patients has been created in Tashkent. Patients, who are in need of emergency care and delivered by ambulances, are hospitalized in separate medical institutions: Tashkent Medical Academy, Clinic of the Virology Research Institute, Infectious Diseases Clinic, City Emergency Medical Clinic and Specialized Infectious Diseases Hospital in Zangiota.
“Currently, there are no problems with beds in Tashkent. Work is underway to introduce this system in the regions.
If we called on the public to be vigilant 2-3 weeks ago, now we want to tell them that there is no room for panic. Now the situation is under control, our doctors and the necessary equipment are ready. There are enough reserves and beds,” Khabibullo Okilov said.
It was added that once all the specialized hospitals have been vacated, they will be disinfected and will start operating in their respective specialties. It also eliminates shortcomings in helping other patients.
