Uzbekistan’s population nears 34.2 million
The population of Uzbekistan has increased by over 286 thousand since the beginning of the year.

As of July 1, 2020, the population of Uzbekistan amounted to 34.19 million people, more by 286.5 thousand since the beginning of the year.
According to the State Statistics Committee, over 17.19 million people are men and about 16.99 million – are women.
Of the total population, around 17.3 people live in urban areas and nearly 16.9 – in rural areas.
In the first six months, 75.5 thousand marriages and 12.8 thousand divorces were registered.
