12,000 emergency beds for infected people prepared in Tashkent region
Today, July 23, a briefing was held at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications with the participation of National Guard spokesperson Davron Jumanazarov.

At the briefing, practical measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection in the Tashkent region were addressed.
Due to the worsening epidemiological situation in the region, and in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection and its serious consequences in the future, the National Guard set up a round-the-clock coordination operational center in the city of Nurafshan.
Call centers have been established in each district and city, and they will provide the necessary medical care to patients treated at home, coordinate and monitor the work to solve their issues, render psychological assistance to patients, consider the citizens’ health-related appeals and give consultations.
There are 31 mobile units in the region that provide medicines, necessary food and other basic necessities to patients treated at home.
More than 12,000 additional places are prepared in sanatoriums, health camps and dormitories of colleges and lyceums for the citizens who were in contact with the infected people.
44 working groups comprising workers of the National Guard, Ministries of Emergency and Defense and the State Inspectorate of Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance carry out disinfection work, with the help of 17 special equipment and 482 volunteers.
The report states that a total of 3,310 National Guard and Internal Affairs officers were attracted to ensure compliance with the quarantine requirements.
