According to the resolution of the President, the duration of the bachelor program “Sports activity (all types)” is set to be three years. This is expected to optimize the training of highly qualified specialists in this field.

In 2018, the ministry reported for the first time that it was exploring the possibility of reviewing the length of study in individual areas of bachelor’s and master’s degree studies, in order to change some of the curricula in line with the objectives of the study and the specifics of the particular subject.

The analysis revealed that there are certain subjects in the curricula that are not currently required in the practical work for the various specialties (for example, the subject “Mathematical methods and models” in the syllabus of the social-humanitarian courses or the subject “Ecology and environmental protection”, “Pedagogy” in the syllabus of the technical-mathematical courses, etc.)

There are also disciplines that are the same as the disciplines taught in the previous stages – general and specialized secondary and vocational education. In some disciplines (such as mathematics, psychology, economic theory, physical culture), the hours allocated in the curricula have been unreasonably increased without considering the needs of particular courses. In addition, the content of some specialist disciplines is not sufficiently focused on the needs of practice and has to be updated to meet modern requirements.
