Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan agree to reduce railway tariffs by 50 percent
The governments of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan agreed to reduce tariffs for railway transportation by 50 percent, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan Saidikrom Niyazkhojayev said.
He also noted that the issue of tariffs in Afghanistan is being resolved, sputniknews.kz reports.
“Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on granting a 50 percent discount on railway transportation, these issues are now fully worked out at the bilateral level,” said Saidikrom Niyazkhojayev during the international videoconference “Prospects for the development of trade and economic relations of Eurasian Economic Union member countries after overcoming the current sanitary and epidemiological situation”.
He explained that the parties are already working on reducing rail transport tariffs in Afghanistan.
The ambassador also noted that the countries should now consider the establishment of a trilateral joint Russian-Kazakh-Uzbek enterprise for the processing of fruit-bearing products.
