Uzbekistan welcomes political agreement between Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah
Tashkent welcomes the signing of a political agreement between Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and former Prime Minister Abdullah Abdullah, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Earlier it was reported that Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and former Prime Minister Abdullah Abdullah signed a political power-sharing agreement on Sunday.
“Uzbekistan welcomes the achievement by the Afghan political leaders of the Agreement on the creation of an inclusive government and the Supreme Council of National Reconciliation. We also hope that these important decisions will open the way to political negotiations and the establishment of lasting peace in neighboring Afghanistan,” the report said.
In turn, Uzbekistan will continue to strengthen relations of friendship and good neighborliness with the people of Afghanistan, will support the inter-Afghan political process in every way and provide all possible assistance in building a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan, the MFA added.
