The President reiterated that the man-made accident at the reservoir was a great test, a government commission was established and all efforts and opportunities were made to eliminate the consequences of the flood.
“Today I came to you for the fourth time to organize this work and get information from the people of Syrdarya. Every hour I inquire about the state of affairs here, and I receive a report over the phone,” he said.
It was emphasized that the main task is to restore the living conditions of the population, work has begun on the repair of damaged houses and the construction of new housing.
“Both the repair and the construction of new houses will be carried out free of charge by the state. Before September 1, people will be able to relocate to new apartments and their renovated homes. At the same time, the former courtyards under the destroyed houses will remain at the disposal of their owners,” the President said.
For information, in Mirzaabad, Sardoba and Akaltyn districts, it is planned to build 66 5-storey houses with a total of 2,640 apartments in 3 blocks for the population, whose houses have become completely unusable.
Today, the head of state laid the first stone of a new block with 37 houses in the “Dustlik” mahalla, Sardoba district.
