“I am asked if the Senate will make a request to the government on the Sardoba issue during today’s session. It should be noted that a criminal case has been launched by the State Security Service and an investigation is underway. This issue is under the personal control of the president. Where there is corruption and lawlessness, everything will be dealt with.
These are our problems and we are the one who tackle them. At this time, we have seen that the people have united and supported each other. And we, the leaders, must also unite and support each other, help law enforcement bodies in solving the people’s problems.
If there are problems within law enforcement bodies, we will have to take measures together,” Kun.uz correspondent quoted Narbayeva as saying.
During the plenary session, Tanzila Narbayeva also criticized the fact that systemic problems can be resolved only after the intervention of the prosecutor’s office.
The committees should analyze the problems in the system together with the prosecutor’s office, make changes to the law, introduce a new mechanism to improve the work and strengthen the issue of cooperation.
“Unless we resolve the systemic problems fundamentally, they will be noted again when we hear a report of the prosecutor’s office every year,” Tanzila Narbayeva said.
